Head of Fundraising and Communications

Women in Sport is the leading charity dedicated to Empowering women and girls through sport. With over 30 years’ experience in the sport sector, we’re advancing gender equality through and within sport: empowering women and girls through sport and transforming the sport sector.
We are looking for an energetic and experienced leader to drive our fundraising and communications. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in a small ground-breaking charity, in the high profile and fast-moving arena of women’s sport with plenty of scope to make your mark on the cause.

We are a team that shares a great ambition, has a highly flexible and adaptable approach to work and comprises people who want their day job to make a difference to society. An interest in women’s sport will also help but you do not need to be ‘sporty’ – in fact we value a diversity of experiences of sport in our team. And you don’t have to be female to work here. This role will lead our fundraising and communications work. You will have particular expertise in corporate fundraising which is a new area of development for Women in Sport. You will develop and deliver the wider fundraising and communications strategies. Your team comprises two experienced Senior Managers who lead on Communications and Trust and Foundation Giving, so whilst you will support this work you will not need to be so hands on.

Your personal focus in terms of income generation will be to increase Women in Sport’s income through corporate partnerships, sponsorship and major donors, to help us increase substantially our fundraised, and preferably unrestricted, income. You will bring new business into the Charity and account manage and steward partners as they come on board.
