Women in Sport team up with CSM Live to deliver podcasts and events

March 2020

Women in Sport is delighted to announce CSM Live as the first-ever sponsor of the Women in Sport Podcast.

This year, CSM Live and Women in Sport will work together to produce a season of events and podcasts which shine a light on the successes and obstacles experienced by women in sport at all levels: from young girls to older women; from amateurs to professional.

The sponsorship has kicked off with a special International Women’s Day episode with Anita Asante, Chelsea Women player and Ambassador for Amnesty International, Atlanta St John, Head of Women’s Rugby at Harlequins, and Carmen To, Women’s Programme Coach at The Running Charity.

Listen to the episode on Audioboom, Spotify and iTunes.

Stacey Knight, Commercial Director at CSM Live, said: “We at CSM Live are incredibly excited to be collaborating with Women in Sport as it represents a core belief that sport has the potential to be a driving force in empowering women and girls.

“Sport can be a real force for good, bringing people across the globe together to celebrate and commiserate, none more so then in my current role as a non exec for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 where for the first time, the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions will be staged in a single, celebratory event. I’m humbled enough to meet athletes and talented individuals across sport through my roles with the RLWC2021 and CSM Live and am inspired each and every day, I look forward to helping bring some of these stories, life lessons and inspirations to life.”

Stephanie Hilborne OBE, Chief Executive of Women in Sport, added: “There’s still a long way to go to tackle persistent gender stereotypes in society; and we need to do this if we are to inspire many more girls and women to play sport. So we’re very excited that CSM Live has come onboard to support our Podcast, which has already built an engaged audience of over 3,000 listeners.  We’re looking forward to greatly expanding on this as we work with CSM Live to deliver a series of thought-provoking events in the coming year.  We’re grateful that CSM Live is coming on this journey with us.”
